Isaias is over. The National Hurricane Center has issued its last advisory on Isaias, and there are no hurricane or tropical storm watches or warnings in effect. NHC: “Flash flooding risk continues.” Rain from Isaias’s remnants (4 to 8 inches across the Florida Panhandle, locally up to 15) can keep roads and low areas flooded. Check NWS Mobile/Pensacola for current flood alerts, and stay out of floodwater. The NWS also has a High Surf Warning and rip current statement for the Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa coast. Six Recovery Steps for Your Home

1. Stay safe first
Stay away from downed power lines and report them to your utility. Don’t walk or drive through floodwater: Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Run generators outdoors only, far from doors and windows. Stay off the roof, and don’t enter a building that looks unsafe.
2. Photograph the damage
Before cleanup, take wide and close-up photos and video of the roof (from the ground), exterior, debris and any interior leaks or ceiling stains. Keep receipts for anything you buy to protect the house.
3. Temporary protection once it’s safe
